yeah, I do get about half of my hooks from capt. hooks but I do see they are out of the size 4 VMC's in BN, has anyone ever ordered from that W&W company in wisconsin I believe, have to look again, they have them at a good price, but you have to waite for him to email you back and there are no returns for any reason.. lol thats not a good way to build a business in my opinion.

Doug, the W&W company is listed on yahoo about the second page and the web adress says Musgegon or something like that, not sure about this guy, would like to hear from someone who has done business with him. put in VMC jighooks and scroll down the page on yahoo, found it on the second page like I said. man, I got two things pressing at the house that will take my spare time for a little while, water heater sprung a leak, and my boy's truck had a water pump go out , at least that is what I hope it is. clear coated some two tone green kiptails last nite for the finishing touch.

Found it, Never ordered from them before but some of the prices look good - what worries me though is they try not to keep alot of stuff in stock.

yeah, I don't like the part about not accepting returns either. but it looks like he has the VMC black nickel size 4's, who else has them? Capt. hooks is out of that size in the black nickel. just killin time at work, and watching the election stuff on yahoo.

If there were any problems with them I'd just send them back to VMC. I am liking the looks of the BN 9147. Have you had a chance to try those EC hooks with the fish yet???

Doug, the VMC 9147 is a fine hook for sure, all the versions of it are excellent, bronze, gold and BN, the BN version has the premium extra sharp cone shaped point, and the bronze and gold have the old school point which is longer and not quite as sharp as the BN's point, now to make this more confusing I do have some size 6 gold VMC's with the premium point but the last time I ordered them I got the old school point, which is what they call a cut point, but non the less, the old school cut points on the VMC 9147's are deadly and plenty sharp, I actually wish I could get their black nickel in the cut point as it has a larger barb. I have only been working and worrying about the stuff around the house that needs working on, so have not even poured any of those eagle claw BP hooks, and haven't been fishing either, just tying a few here and there. that black nickel VMC is a fine hook but it seems they are not real easy to find.

I guess I'll just have to waite till capt. hooks gets the 4's back in, I used another aberdeen hook probably five years ago with great success in size 4 in the gold model it was SOHUMI brand and got them from barlows, but they used to be cheap, and now the price is well up there, they were really really sharp too, but alot can happen in 5 years to quality, they hooked up on crappie great, but the eyelet legs were inconsistent in the small size 8's the 4's were much better, I think they are quite a bit more than VMC's.

The hook is an Eagle Claw Classic SPECIAL BRONZE 1350. You can get them from Simmons Sporting Goods in Bessemer,Al. 205-426-0490. When I checked they were about $10 a hundred!!! these are the same hooks that lightwirehooker uses.

Doug, don't say nothin bout the 259 dololars worth of socks or you will hear about it when your materials show up and she sees the package before you do. lol still working on projects around the house, got an awful lot of stuff done this past three days, but never did anything fun like go fishing or go to the sporting goods store and tell tales. Man it would have been a great day to crappie fish, I gotta take a nap and start the night shift tonight.

She can't really complain about mine all that much I've been trading for stuff so it's not that bad. Going through another box I found some more green hackle and hen feathers so got some more ideas to tie up. Have fun at work.
