today it was just a single color on the hair, seems I want to go to the two color hair combo when the head is left unpainted for some contrast since the unpainted head offers no color to speak of,just flash. these jigs look good with a painted head, it looks like a colored egg sitting out in front of the hair.

Got through sorting through all I found and it was way more than I thought

Here's a separate pic of all the unpainted ones - this doesn't include all the 1/8 and 1/4 Ball head and Tube head jigs

wow, thats a load of variety there! working 4-12 shift starting today, and will be tying jigs and painting heads probably a little every nite, It's been so humid the last couple days that I had to stop painting but maybe tonite will be better. I like tying and pouring both, but the pouring seems to be a little more fun to me.

can't waite to get home tonite and tie a few, doing a two color pinkie hair jig that the crappie fishing freind wants for muddy or trashy water after a hard rain, fl. orange head and hair and thread with some fl. yellow streaked down each side, this is the same color combo as the cajun cricket colored bobby garland baby shad plastic crappie bait. the hair jig has a more pronounced color though with the hair being opaque it is brighter. have sent him a few photos of this new pinkie head that I'm tying the new jigs on and he is pacing the floor wanting to get his hands on them, I told him to give me a few weeks to tie and cure the paint.

still just doing some tying and painting heads, need to stock my supply as well as a few freinds, tied probably 6-7 jigs last nite with the fl. orange and fl. yellow calftail these are supposed to be the best color for muddy water on a few bodies of water around here, I haven't tried them yet but know people who have, I don't have alot of orange kiptail left but am gonna tie till it's gone. I really want to order a bunch of kiptails etc. but money is pretty tight right now, I better make due with what I have for now. still using crappy happy's lead he sent me, man that stuff is beautiful in the pot!

Don't know if you saw this one but crappiejgr got ripped of about 150lbs http://www.jigcraft.com/jigcraft/showthread.php?tid=4197

If you check the painting section I just posted 3 threads on all the painting I did yesterday. I got em bagged up and realized I hadn't done any of the really small size 10 jig hook 1/32 I poured!!! So gonna have to do some either later today or tommorrow as it's a govt holiday

Yeah they are nice!!! Except the wife has other ideas like doing laundry!!!!!!!BOO!!!!!! I did all mine on Saturday but she left me one of the dreaded Honey Do's this morning, almost done except for folding!!! so I need to pick either finish powdering the small jigs or doing some tying but maybe I'll have time for both we'll see.

had to make a midnite grocery run at walmart after work last nite , so didn't get anything done. got a bunch tied up for the crappie fishing guy, probably 55 or so maybe more, they are curing nicely, will clean the eyes out and put them in poly slips and staple them closed.

need to paint up some different color heads too, don't have many painted heads left, need to do some hot pink heads, for the white hair, and some green chart. heads for the all gr. chart. jigs, oh, and some white heads for the white hair jigs with the red streaks down each side. too much rain now though so the humidity is too high to paint the vinyl paint, will just tie the rest of the painted heads up for now.

Doug, I haven't been fishing lately, cause the days Iv'e had off, I was just wanting to rest, but that crappie fishing buddy of mine is wearing them out every weekend, but he really has his boat set up to the max. I already have a bunch of powder, but the colors don't seem to be as brilliant or the paint job itself is not as smooth on the finished product, I do use it when I have to tho. tied seven more jigs last night, some yellow chart. heads with white hair and a couple two tone green hair with green head. I do need to take a few more pics, will try to do that. I have a few on my phone I think, will have to look. hard to take a good pic of 24 jigs all at once with the phone, singles or doubles best.

I decided to sit and work yesterday. Made up a big batch of v-spinner frames and got thoses done and did a bunch of tying, and tying JJ's boolies. They came out pretty good. Still need to get my little jigs powdered but the old weather man is talking the "s" word in higher elevations so if it's cold this weekend I may do some painting.

I been struggling with my phone at work to try and send some pics to my email, and Iv'e had it set up for picture text messages, and can't seem to do what I want to. when I get it figured out I'll get a few pics going. spent about 2 hrs. in the shop last night tying and clear coating pinkie jigs, it's time to paint some more heads as I only have 3-4 painted ones left, and need to pour some more heads too, especially with the eagle claw 574 long shanked size 6 jig hook which has become one of my favorites. the crappie fishing guy that I have been tying for likes size 4 hooks because he tips with a small minnow hooked thru the lips, thats why I poured the size 4's, but for my use, I'm stuck on the 574 size 6's because even with a minnow on the hook thru the lips it rarely ever misses a fish on the hookset, I beleive that is because of the extra sharp long needle like point and also because the point is back farther away from the hook eyelet, making it easier for the fish to access the hooks point. just my theory. those 574's would make a heck of a boolie jig too for the same reason, giving more room for the prop and the tying on of the tail. really need to get on the boolie bandwagon.

Doug, those boolies look great on the redman head, you did a bang up job! I have a little break of 48 hours now between the 4-12 shift and going into the 12-8 shift fri. nite, tied up the last of the painted pinkie jig heads tonite, need to take some of these tied jigs and clean the eyelets of paint and then put them in poly slip bags and staple them shut, they will keep forever this way and a guy can load a plano box with jigs like this and the hair and heads stay in perfect shape. getting these finished jigs bagged up will give me space for drying painted jigs which I need to do more of.

Thanks buddy!!! They were fun, and the tri-colored were a PITA!!!!! Hoping to do some more painting this weekend. Now that I found all the unpainted ones that were hiding in the paint box and all the ones I poured I'm ahead.
