I get info from reading government documents . That is all I can say . First time I've opened my big mouth on this kind of stuff . Forgot what gramps always told me . your thoughts are the only thing you will ever really own and there best kept to themselves . Funny how we can let sage wisdom fade from our memories . Yah, where are you valued swamp person? You motivated me to research the GMO issue and while the info was very discomfiting, seeing as how with the assistance of our supposed protectors FDA, USDA, EPA, and legislators our food supply is now dominated by a collusion between agri-chem giants like Monsanto, Syngenta, & Bayer and industrial food conglomerates which are quietly buying out family run producers including dedicated organic. For example, new kid on the block Chobani "all natural" yogurt is sourced from GMO grain fed cows, and the company has recently secured $750,000,000 expansion financing. With the amount of propaganda money vested in the industry its amazing that Jackson county OR, the state of Vermont, and (ahem) my home Hawaii county managed to overlook the "end world hunger" and "no scientific evidence" disseminated by industry shills and pass GMO bans. For which we are assured being sued for.
On another note, I recently followed a link that stated the US economy will crash after "Obama's new law" takes effect on July 1. The gentleman giving the lengthy presentation was articulate and his evidence convincing. Around an hour later he offered to further enlighten me with details on how to protect myself for $150 bucks. So, for free, I researched the culprit bill H.R. 2847 which attempts to address overseas tax dodge loopholes by requiring foreign banks to disclose info on American sourced accounts. Not sure how this will this crash the USA?

LOL. No offense intended. It's just I usually find when someone mentions 9-11 and says the mainstream media is full of lies their sources is a combination of one of the above. Last time someone (on another board) said something similar they posted a link to a site that was also running stories about aliens digging tunnels under California and the Illuminati swapping transsexual garden gnomes for baby Jesus in nativity displays.
I know my political views are at odds with the typical outdoors enthusiast so I usually avoid these types of threads.

Another club outing:
I know those guys are just out for a video and a little recognition of there right to bear arms . But for me I carry a small side arm unless I'm hunting for something in season . Then I have a rifle or shot gun I leave in the car . I also carry 2 knives . The extra knife is for in case I can't get back to the car for the shot gun . All kidding aside sometimes a can of Cambell's chicken noodle soup up side the head can be adequate . Worked for a guy stealing my guitar out of the back seat of my car . Had some earrings and a couple of those things in his nose that looked like constant buggers . I thought that can ring impression just under his left ear made a nice addition . You see its all about how you conduct yourself with a gun or a car or can of soup that makes the difference . People do bad things to people from the beginning of time .

Hope you guy's realize that I am enjoying this thread. No open carry THAT IS STUPID. CC only !!! A poker player never shows his hand. As to where I get my news is from any where and every where. I guess that I am wise enough and smart enough to glean what truth there is being reported. We have a saying down here in Deep East Texas Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining. My Grandfather always told me Lies have to be covered up but truth can run around naked all day.
If you are under the opinion that every thing out there is rosie and OK. Remember this durning the best of times the government COULD NOT take care of the victims of Katrina. Learn to take care of yourselves. Be the best and most self sufficent that you can be. Nothing is ever Free, and stay as far away from the government as possible. Yes Yes garden growing bigger than last year. Good spring crappie season and now the catfish have been on the rampage. Out board humming ,tomatoes set on some of the plants, will be eating green beans in a few weeks, Okra not far behind. Life is good.
