Cool pic, you can have all that white stuff. Loved it when I was younger but it's different now. We've been getting day temps in the 50's the last few days.

Wow, this is an old thread, but great pics!

AF, have you ever tried using a DSRL camera? You mentioned liking the bigger camera body in an early post in this thread. I've got an old Nikon D40 that needs a new 55 - 80 mm lens. I've taken A LOT of pics with that one. Like you, I tended to carry it everywhere.

Now, I've got an Olympus Tough TG 620. Shock-resistant, water-proof to 10', takes great macro pics. Only thing I would like is a "burst mode" like my D40. Well, time-lapse and ability to go full manual is a good thing as well. I got a few pics of clouds lit up by lightning at night several years ago. As was previously mentioned, most folks don't take backups seriously. All of my pics, up to summer of last year, are currently on a HDD that I can't access. That pc's power supply failed, and I haven't been able to get it fixed yet. I'm hoping the HDD is still good.

Is an old thread but these pictures (along with others) cycle through on my screen saver at work and i add to them when i get new ones. I see them often so don't forget about this thread.......

Never used a DSRL. Going to have to get a new camera very soon. The zoom function completely quit working on mine now. It shuts down whenever i try to zoom. I will look up the ones you mentioned Allen. Thanks!

JungleJim - I don't care much for the actual white stuff because it means more work for me to drag my ice fishing sled. Wife loves to run the snow blower so no worries getting out of the drive way. haha! Getting too old for it myself. Took my son out sledding last weekend and spent more time at the top of the hill watching than previous years. We did build a ramp at the bottom though. :)

Thx for bringing the thread back .. not sure I was a member when you originally posted.

You do have the eye for a good pix.
