Errors are still there (or at least were earlier today) and they just seem to come and go in frequency. I've been back and forth with the web host several times now and not getting anywhere. I sure wish their 'tech support' could speak a little clearer English.

Today's 404 errors were not from the database. I actually was adjusting settings to try and lessen the load on the server. Guess i went too far with some of the tweaks. Should be back to normal now..... or at least normal with the occasional error that can be refreshed.

It was something like that....... but i cut LOTS of wires all at once to see if it would make any impact on the performance of the server/database. Well it had an impact, but it messed up the individual pages instead of doing anything to the server/database. Oh well, undo, another lesson learned. I keep researching and trying things because if i have to go with a new host it is going to majorly change how things have been run to this point. Been doing this mostly for sheets and giggles to this point, very minimal overhead and a laughable profit. Sure don't want/need a 2nd job.

I am living quite well with the site, as is, and understand your frustrations.

One of the toughest things I've had to do in my career was channel those whose responsibility it was to act, to act, in certain situations.

Been watching this event for quite a while.  I believe that it's totally the responsibility of your internet (site hosting) provider at this point and up to them to remedy the wait states and browsing errors.

Also, I realize that time and personal economics make it a tough circumstance.  You're doing very well AF.  :icon14:  :icon14:

Thanks for the words of encouragement.  I may not be the most knowledgeable at this web management thing, but i do try to be as honest as possible.  Although being honest with the webhost company may have set me back occasionally.  I have worked to wrap up any loose ends (upgrades, updates, streamline processes, etc.) so i could for sure say it was the host service and not a problem with what i've put on here.  I am to that point now, but need someone to listen to my complaint and get it back to the service it was!  I have a feeling that if i could speak Hindi....... i could get things moving with a lot less effort.  haha

I for one really appreciate this forum and everything you do here. I would like you to know that when I report a problem it's just for your info to maybe help figure things out and not just bitching. I also can understand your frustration with having to deal with people that either don't care or no idea of what's going on. It seems that the consumer nowadays is the R&D for the products out there and if we want something to work we have to figure it out our selves. I know this will get sorted out and in the meantime I'm sure we'll all hang in there with you.

BTW, I had attempted to post this earlier and it stalled and deleted it. This time though this is the message that popped up that I haven't seen before. Hopefully it will post this time.

The maximum server load limit has been reached. Please check back later once the server is less busy.

Yeah, I sometimes google "errors" like this to see if other boards have them and there's a bunch of complaints and questions for every form of server error.  No one really ever seems to get a definitive answer or solution and it's much like you said above.  It's up to the site hosting provider to straighten-out their end over time.

We fish, we practice patience, we take one more cast (or page reload) to see what happens.  It's so "us".

Sometimes I have to reload other sites, too.  Good time to clear cookies as well, those are getting out of hand these days, at least on Safari.  I can clear the 100 mark in just a few pages on an average google search.  That sucks!

That error (max server load limit has been reached) is one of the other things i changed the other day.  Has to do with the way the software reads errors sent back from the server and supposed to help log the errors a little better.  I like seeing that rather than the MYBB error that shows nothing at all about JigCraft.
