I am no expert on fishing lines. I use power pro and have almost no problem. If power pro cast like mono it would be a perfect world.

One thing I can attest to for sure. The flip over bail on spinning reels causes a lot of grief. Back in the 80' and 90's I ran a bait and tackle shop.
A lot of tournament fishermen that used spinning outfits for light lure presentations. They has me cut the bail wire off completely. This forced them
to use their fingers to place line behind the roller on the pick up arm. They claimed it eliminated 99% of their line problems as to their spinning outfits.

Since these guys were money fishermen I see no reason to doubt their word. I even did my trout outfit likewise and it did work. Personally I never did get used to it.
But the theory was proved to me and I always flip my bail over manually.

The other most common mistake is to overfill the reel. When filling your spool leave at least 1/8 " between top of spool and surface of line. I prefer a 1/4 ". Since power pro is not going to cast for great distances anyway I am not really losing anything.
