:icon14: I do the same and even put a little super glue on the shank (with thread lied down first) before placing and tying in the kip. Do this on most of the hair jigs I tie.

Thanks for the tips guys.I might have to try some super glue too.I used to just butt the ends up against the head also but found some of the hair would pull out after a few fish or after the jig dried and was going to use it again.I was using a magnifying glass to look at the heads needing trimmed .
