Sweet paint job! Perty much looks like a shad to me from the baitfish pic you posted. Should do the trick.

They all look like shad,lol.Now,I need to figure out how to make a foot long one and still be able to it from breaking my rod.

Here's the bottom of that jig.I thought it looked cool there waiting for thread to finish it up.I used Sally Hansons to put a coat over the black dots and make them a little more safe.No comparison to the powder paint,stregth wise.

I do need to check out Wallymarts for thread and any other stuff they may have. Some times you can score some cheap Peacock feathers there.

Peacock herl is used a lot for tying flies and for jigs. Some even dye it. You can make really great flies with it. Good for body material also.

This is why I go to as many forums as I can find, to learn. Who would have thought making little jigs with what looks like pipe cleaners wrapped around it would be good for crappies lol.

Google it, see what they do with it.....you won't want to waste any for your hat.

Now that looks really fine. Job well done. On the wally world thread. Is it strong, and what is it called? Me likey the chrome thread. Any other chrome colors? Sorry for all the questions.

Cadman,my brother in law went because he wanted me to finish his jigs,lol.The chrome is called "Coats" Metallic Decorative Sewing Thread"Some Spanish words afer that,lol.It's with all the other sewing stuff,ask Doc where they keep it,lol.That's all of your powder paint on there.

I forgot about the powder paint I sent you. I sell to so many people, I forget who got what. Now that makes it a even better looking jig. LOL
