That " dadgum yankee " made me laugh. Waaaay back when I was in Vietnam. About 7 or 8 of the guys in my outfit were from Lousiana and they were the type that put the" rajun "in cajun if you know what I mean.
One of the guys from an army outfit jumped on me over a disagreement in a game of blackjack. He were a big ole boy from Georgia strong as could be but a tad slow. After about 5 minutes of being used as a body/punching bag. He turned to one of the Cajuns and said " who in the h*** said yankees couldn't fight. The Cajun replied I could have told you he a Yankee but he got rebel attitude clean past his ears. Anyhow Georgia boy decided to shake hands and buy us all a beer. Ahhhhhh those were the days.
