I got everything packed up to ship - here are the picts
For my jig I took a pattern from a 1970 book by Lacey E Gee and Erwin D Sias. This style jig represents a connection to traditional fly tying that is often found in early jig tying techniques. Interesting to note in the Gee, Sias (1970) book is the lack of eyes on all black jig head examples. The Jig Fly as a pattern similar to a bucktail streamer, this lack of eyes, may be an attempt to mimic a streamers thread head.
Jig Fly
Head: 1/8 Ball
Thread: Black 2/0
Body: Yellow Chenille, Silver Tinsel
Wing: Black Bucktail
Tail: Red Calf Tail
Collar: Yellow Hackle
