I found an old cast iron pot to go with my fish cooker, still gotta get a ladle to dip it into my ingot mold. I'll post a play by play on the big day. Lol

That is the same pot I'm going to use also. I knew I still had the one that came with my cooker, just had to find it. I didn't like the size of it for cooking fish so never used it but looks to be the right size for lead melting.

X's 3 here. Why go through all that. I do the same with old shipped up jigs. Paint stinks to high Heaven but I stand up wind.
My "rough" melting pot is a big cast iron sucker at the shed. On top of a metal stand, may be turkey fryer type of thing. I have the iron pot wired down to the stand at several places just to make sure it doesn't fall off/change position when working. There have been times I was REALLY glad for that lol.
