Sinkers made out of mercury.

I don't think mercury has ever been used much in the commercial tackle industry. It's nasty stuff. It's an extremely potent neurotoxin that absorbs through the skin and is liquid at room temperature (thus difficult to work with) and relatively expensive compared to lead.

I remember as kids we used to play with mercury in our hands. In school! Shoots, it was in all the wall thermometers.

One time we checked out an abandoned concrete building around Pearl Harbor I think and there were gobs of mercury all over.

Wonder if 3 gms of uranium could make a mini-nuke?

When i was young, i had broken open a thermometer just to see the stuff inside. Ended up washing what was left down the sink.

Out my way theres an ethnic group notorious for liking fish so much they'll eat anything caught any way. Personally, I think Clorox would spoil the flavor.

Then they're these guys - kinda looks like out your way AF?

Seems like they warn about fish everywhere about limiting how much you eat, but yet I know that eat what they catch all the time. I think some places it's more of a Government want to keep Americans scared again. Keep you scared, and tell you where to spend you $$ to protect yourself from it. In this case, buy beef instead lol.

But joking aside, I do know people that eat fish 2-3 times a week that live at the beach. They even warn you of fish there, only eat 1-2 times a month.

Now that is some dumb ****. Who would fish with cadmium sinkers? They are lighter than steel or even zinc. I'd understand if it were silver, gold, tungsten, uranium, or even iridium or osmium.

I like the uranium sinker idea. They would glow. If you used them consistently in the same body of water, perhaps you would end up with mutated 2-headed fish - twice as likely to bite.
