Shad Darts

Yeah Hawn missed out on an old Ament shad dart mold - got stuck on the interstate in traffic.

The one and only time I tried to pour an Ament mold was a failure - even with max soft lead couldn't get full fill out. What's different about the Ament dart design?

The hook eye looks more forward towards the nose than Do-its maybe. I just modified my 3031A larger sizes for forward hook eyes as there is room for another eye slot between existing mid body and nose.

And another, this one a combo. An article I read long ago claimed this hook eye forward version of the shad dart was superior to the mid-head center balance type. This mold appears to have been designed by someone who was serious about dart performance. This exact same design combo would rock as a Do-it.
