I second that except should get quite a variety. But from the economics side, I added ~ 35.00 materials to first box and after most got lost by USPS, picked thru my stock and guesstimate $40 in second box, 10.95 + 10.95 + 35 + 40 = $96.90 for bit of buck tail, 2 small bags of feathers 2 half packs of chenille, 1 full pack of chenille, 1 bag of very small jigs. Not a very good trade for me. After looking thru my notes etc, I think future if we do it again, smaller packs of materials. Bag Powder - not jars. Plus It needs to start with a liner for the box!

After the things I learned about USPS I would probably want to go UPS or FEDEX but they are just as bad.

FYI - I am thru 5 levels of bureaucracy with the USPS. I have sent lists and pics to 4 different people. The latest being one in Atlanta. Hamilton OH, Cincinnati OH, Columbus OH (although packages never went there) Warrendale PA, and now Atlanta. Although I still think things were taken, I also have a feeling USPS does not want to find anything and worse, just spends lip service and wasting time.

What if we tried something a little different next time around. That being, we send everything to one person, and then do a single item pick in the pecking order of the sign up. Take pictures once everything is in and then through the discussion do the picking. Pick one thing then it goes to the next person until everything is divided up. Then each of us can send a postage paid box or paypal the shipping. Seems this way the shipping would be far less for all of us, and we each can choose if we want to insure or not etc.
Just my 2 cents for what it is worth.

Got the box today. It was dropped off at the apartment office yesterday, but they were closed when I got home. No tampering this time.

I'll take pictures and send it off either tomorrow or Thursday.

"Dear Kurt,

We regret learning of the inconvenience you have experienced.

The Postal Service is aware of the frustration and disappointment caused when we do not live up to our commitment of safe and reliable mail service.

Unfortunately, an occasional piece of mail may fail to reach its destination. When mail items are found during our processing operations, they are collected in the "loose-in-the-mail" section of the Post Office. The item(s) are held for 7 days pending a match with a sender or an addressee. However, at times no match occurs. Sometimes an item will find its way to the Mail Recover Center (MRC) in Atlanta, GA. Items of value will be held at the MRC for 90 days. The information you have provided will be shared with management as they continue their efforts to improve service performance in your area.

Reports of mail loss greatly concern us. Regrettably, when such instances are brought to our attention, there is no sure way of determining what may have happened. With the large volume of mail moving through our network each day, it is literally impossible to trace a single piece of regular First-Class Mail. Only Registered Mail, which is accounted for during its entire journey, can be accurately traced.

An apology is no substitute for good service, but I want to offer one on behalf of the Postal Service. We appreciate your reporting this matter to us. It helps to know the kinds of difficulties our customers have so we can work toward improvements. The loss of any piece of mail is as disappointing to us as it is to you.

Please accept our sincere apology for any inconvenience this matter may have caused you.

Rossville Post Office"

Sorry about the delay, folks. My smartphone is my digital camera, and it was out for warranty repairs. I hoped it would be back the same day I got the swap box, but it didn't come until today after it was too late to send the package. Anyway, here's what I kept:

And here's what I put back in:

Box is going out Monday.

The box arrived today intact, but abused and bruised to some extreme. You know I'm starting to think the USPS has hired that ape that did the luggage ads on TV back in the 70's. ;)
I dug everything out and boy ole boy there's some mighty fine stuff in there. The Misses say's I looked like a kid in a candy store.
So here is what I took.

Then I filled the box up.
