If you don't care about saving the resale value of a mold . Then JB weld ect. is the go to . You will however need to use a hard implement to modify where you put it . Above all be patient when doing it . You can permanently disfigure the mold . I have at times used a tiny wood carving set to achieve what I needed when the JB was hard but not hard set . That is why I have reccomended silicone to the novice . Better safe than sorry and boy have I been sorry in my early years .

I removed the collar from my walleye mold using permaflex copper atv high temp gasket silicon. Worked great. Filled it in, used a razor blade to smooth out. Put baby powder on silicon and hook, then closed mold and let sat over night. Poured 200 last weekend, and works great! If I want to take out, I can.
