the 'boss' has already been making comments about how quickly i got this all done when projects she asks to have done take longer just to get the supplies around, let alone complete. I won't poke that hornets nest.

The 'boss' should understand what motivates you. :D

My wife realises that when I'm building a rod, I can't hear a word she's saying (unless its lets go upstairs  ).

Is the oil lamp for hot heads?

Thats a serious work setup. My table is stand alone in the living room so I can watch TV movies while simple tasking.

Hookup - 'lets go upstairs' is one phrase she doesn't have to speak twice. ;) I will admit to being a tackle junkie.... but there are some trump cards in the deck.

Hawnjigs - The oil lamp is for heating heads. Have a bent coat hanger attached the the wood behind it that holds a pair of forceps and keeps the jig over the opening at the top to pre-heat the next one while i am messing with one in hand. Coolest little thing i have is the 'tool holder' at the bottom right of my paint shelf. It is a couple of solid (heavy) marble trophy bases with small commercial grade magnets stuck all over it. I can practically throw any of my metal tools at it - and they stick. :) Also works for holding forceps to make eyes and such.

The basement is my retreat...... most popular channels in the house are Nickelodeon, Disney, and Cartoon Network. Gravity Falls on Disney is pretty darn funny at times, but the rest just rots my brain. Being in the basement also means that i can have the lights on and listen to music after it is bedtime on school nights. You can't see from the pics, but i still have my 4 large speakers hooked up below the work bench...... i did wise up however, and place the 2 smaller speakers front and center so i can hear it clearly when i have to have it toned down at night.
