I'm going to stay away from earrings for now. I might do a craft show in the spring,90% of the customer's are women so might change my mind before then. I've been looking for some small life like fish to put in molds but smallest plastic crappie or bass so far is 3 inches long. I have some other ideas but I'm going to need bigger molds then what I have.

What's that mean?
Will we see a re make?

JJ,
Sweet stuff, the molding and jigs!
My mom keeps begging for earrings and necklaces n such, but I can't bring myself to it. That looks more plausible..... But still too outta my league.
:)

Great nifty work and craft showing. Just don't use up all the good jigs!

How about jig earrings? I've been shopping on e bay for things to put in besides jigs. I got some fossil shark teeth, fossil amber and some Jurassic period fossil ammonites. They look cool and since they made it through millions of years I hope I don't mess them up.

I´ve noticed people dye the resin in order to resemble all sorts of gemstones incl. amber. How cool would a "fossil" jig in an "amber" stone look like? Or a realistic fly pattern, say a midge?

JJ - how about putting a couple of those on ebay. Just to give you an idea to help defray cost of new hobby. Just in case you haven't thought of it. I was shocked at what my framed jigs went for at family re-union. I donated two sets to help hosts cover the cost of the re-union.

One of my older cousins who does custom engraving sold a knife and a belt buckle there also. He said if he knew they were worth that much he would have donated something else. His engraved eagles are OUTSTANDING. I bid on them myself but deeper pockets outbid me.

I think individuals tend to under value what their creations are worth. The reactions here are a clue to me that this is the case here to. Would be interesting to see what one of those tackle collector on the ebay would give for one of those.

Key chains is a great idea. Got to do some of those. I've been doing a sport show this week end and put several out for people to look at. Had a couple dozen people inquire about purchasing them but said they weren't for sale, some of my personal favorites. Some got my card and are going to contact me about making these with some items they send me. This could get interesting real soon. I probably out of curiosity should have asked how much would they pay for one.
