As long as the sinkers weigh the correct amount and don't damage line, most people don't give a rat's patoot what they look like. Anglers out here make drift sinkers out of a piece of hollow core lead wire stuffed into surgical tubing. A sinker's job is to add weight, and for the vast majority of presentations, the fish never even see it.

BTW, if you place the empty container on the scale and press the "TARE" button, the scale will automatically subtract the weight of the container from the total.

I'm kind of curious, though... Why the focus on sinkers? You can pour a lot more small jigs with a pound of lead than sinkers, and people will pay more for jigs.

I don't have a jig mold or the hooks for it and the lead I have is not pure enough for jigs. My dad does not use jigs when he fishes, but I could get a jig mold and make some and then find someone to sell them to... Here is a pic of all my sinkers as of 2-23-12. That is over 32+ pounds of lead sinkers.

Bro, you do NOT need 99.9785467% pure lead for jigs. Wheel weights are working just fine for many, many people.
I don't what we can do to convince you of this lol. If I get a score of harder lead, I will mix it in with the softer lead. O lot of people do this also, and it works.

I got it. Use any lead I can and make sinkers out of it and hard lead is also cheaper than pure lead and it is a waste to buy pure lead if it is not needed.
