Hi,

I am looking for a Hiltmold LMBULLET, or another wormsinker mold, that produces worm sinkers with a concave base. Anything has my interests.

I was offered a fantastic looking mold Yesterday, from Shawncollinscustoms for 135$, but the end price to Europe is hot!. It's a CNC cut mold, with perfectly smooth cavities. The problem is i probably wont sell many worm sinkers, and it will cost me 240$ in total.

But it sure look nice!

Welcome Kb from SoCal (Southern California).

How much is the sipping for the Collin's mold? I think there is 2 different weight sizes for the Hilt's mold. If so - which one are you looking for?

They show 4 of them on the site but one is listed as out of stock. Hard to believe the shipping is that much!! I ordered 3 books from the UK and know they weigh more than that mold, plus a bigger box, and it cost me $25US for the shipping. I'd check on that again!!

Shipping by Collins was 50$, the prize of a medium flatrate box!???. Regarding the hilts mold, I am looking for one that pours 1/8-1/4-3/8-1/2oz, listed as the LMBULLET in the Hiltsmold webshop.

Guess they haven't updated the site yet. Try ebay but look for lure molds, lead molds, sinker molds then Hilts molds. Made the mistake of selling all the ones I had a long time ago and wish I hadn't!!!!

$135 is an excellent price for a SC custom. Yes, the International Priority Mail flat rate box is $47.95. Could probably fit a few more molds in the box with no additional postage cost.

So, customs duties are $55?

Eventually a mold I want usually shows up on eBay, just need to wait for it & check regularly. Also have learned not to jump on the first to show if the condition looks questionable.

Sorry Keith - it has one of the bullet molds in it too - but it doesn't look pretty...

Lady at the post office said flat rate small box to Denmark was ~$18.00. What is VAT and and how do you calculate custom fees?

There is a bullet mold on ebay right now - saw it last night.

Led you probably know the answer to this!! On Hilts molds can you use a drill with a buffing pad to clean them without messing them up????

More on SC molds: the first one I got many years ago was a difficult $160 indeed. Back then Do-its were under $30 new & cheaper on eBay so paying over 5x Do-it was a big pill. To me the price was worth it and 8 more followed. If his customer service was better, I'd order at least 10 more.

That being said, the few Hilts molds I poured worked fine.

With VAT I mean the 25% tax, that is added to all goods sold over here. Custom fee is 24.5 $, and added by the Post office, for the extra handling. In addition to this, we have to pay 5% in custom for items that costs more than 120$.

But not always shipppings are caught by the custom, the small flatratebox normally passes. Two weeks ago I ordered some glitter, and color from Lurecraft, that according to
them, did not fit in a small flatrate box so I ended up paying 57$, of shipping for 30$ of glitter.

When I recieved then box, I noticed the reason why they had used a medium flat rate box, was the size of their catalog :(.
