Big fish rod break is honorably KIA, dunno about the others...

Still, I don't consider my St. Croix Premier snapping on a 10# cat after only a few uses acceptable. Supposedly you get what you pay for, and thats the most by far I've ever spent on a rod.

St Croix should replace the rod - or at least they used to

I've been told St. Croix requires a $60 S&H fee to replace, & no f***ing way I'm paying that since the rod snapped after only a few uses. Did file a claim back in Sept. but am dragging responding to a request for a phone call since customer service claims they are swamped and I need to leave a message for them to call me back on their time. Too bizzy with life including fishing as often as weather allows to wait around all day for a phone call.

As for the 2"Bobby Garland blue ice Baby Shads yesterday bud Jon & I got about 50 small wallys on them.

Went thru the warranty claims process & indeed the St. Croix rep requested a $60 replacement fee which I strongly contested. His final offer was to lower the fee to $30 which I refused. Luckily one of my customers referred me to a staff acquaintance of his who managed to approve a no charge replacement which was just delivered yesterday.

Back to the 2" Bobby Garland blue ice Baby Shad today revisited a popular meathead canal spot which had skunked me 2x previously and surprise got 7 wallys 13-15" pinned on a 1/14 oz #2 hook BooHoo which is a bead collar Hooksup head with JiggerJohn McKean"s Boolie shank propeller #1 gold.

I think weekend bucket brigades wipe out most accessible spots so the Friday after might offer best chance of replenishment.
