All of the Christmas tinsel I see around here is to thin/flimsy. I'll have to look harder, yours looks a lot better. Is that from K-mart?

Yes, it's the big brand of whatever K-mart sells. I'm at work right now and don't have the tinsel sitting in front of me to give you the exact name.

well, we have no kmarts in the area. Walmart does not have that style. ill check a hobby store later...

That Christmas tinsel is Flashabou. Krystal Flash is the twisted stuff.

I don't use Flashabou as much as Krystal Flash, but those look like really useful colors. Mucho gracias for the heads up. I'll check the K-Mart here to see if they have any. Bet they'll be even cheaper after Christmas, but then they might be sold out.

Looked all over, but all I have been able to find is the silver color. Either everyone in Boise loves tinsel and bought it all, or hardly any of the stores bothered to order any. A lot of places already have their Christmas stuff on markdown.

I did find 1,000 piece packages of the silver at Fred Meyer for $0.59 each, though. It's a little thicker and stiffer than real Flashabou, but strong enough to work for tail accent on crappie jigs.

I tie flies too - and it gets used a lot. Some of the guys I know go out and buy 20-30 box's when the decorations go on sale.
