Mr. Jay well said. Those brothers that don't or haven't did production tying look at it different than us that have. There is a world of difference between the two. Cranking out 100 dozen is a lot different than doing two dozen for the next fishing trip. Cost, speed, and indurance are the keys to successful commercial or production tying.

So I had time to tie a few dozen walleye jigs with the new (to me) PacBay size A nylon thread. I really like this thread. Stretch is very similar to the Gudebrod of the same size, though I think this thread may be stronger. I was able to keep a heavy tension while finishing the collars. The weight of the spool was not a problem and adjusting the arms on my bobbin helped with enough friction on the slick plastic spool - I found that I began using my pinky finger as a break along the edge of the spool.

Cost: $7.50 950yrds. Lots of colors (standard and metalic)
