Painted these with another "new-to-me" powder paint from Rosey's Powder Coating. Each jig weighs 1/16 of an ounce and has a #4 black nickel sickle hook.

The paint color is called mandarin orange 95% gloss. I think that it looks good with gray or white craft fur. Do hope the crappie will think so too...

Those are serious fish killers!!!!!!!!! What kind of flash is that? It works perfect with the gray and the white but it might be the mandarin orange, that paint would be fantastic with some brown on a craw colored jig. Great work Pup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like a winner - bright and natural at the same time.

Thin vs. thick tail...... looks like you prefer thinned out craft fur for smaller crappie jigs. Seems like you would get more action with the thinner tail but quicker fall. One thing i shoot for is a slower fall of a jig in the spring. Takes either a thicker/fuller tie, some type of perpindicular facing material (collar or palmered hackle) or simply a smaller head. Really fuzzy kip tail on a light weight head was my winner last spring. Don't mind me - just thinking out loud i guess. :P
