[auote]Mr. Rock grew up rich and privileged in Michigan & started as a rapper.[/quote]
I didn't know he grew up rich. I did know he was a rapper and a rather "rude" hip hop artist. Not my style - REALLY not my style. I was never a fan of Kid Rock when I was first introduce to him.
And then something I can only explain as a "come to Jesus meeting" must have happened to him. He changed and started being more country & American. He opened up businesses in his home town and employed many. He supported local businesses. He became very red white and blue and seems to have stopped the hard drugs, heavy drinking. Now that he's become countrified, I luv his music. Recently I've bought allot of his stuff used off of Amazon and every CD has one song that get's passed up on, but the rest of his stuff is rock-n-roll country.
I've never been much of a fan of country, but always like country blues rock - Marshal Tucker, Leonard Skinner, Almond Brothers.
