That's one lure I would NEVER try. I don't care what it catches.
I'll snatch a moccasin up by the face, wrassle a gator or even go shopping with women bf I'd ever welcome a real or fake spider into my world.

Charles (flymoron), dropped you a few jigs in the mail today. By the way, I like your user NAME :D
These are 1/80 #10 hooks. I did not have a lot of the smaller size chenille but these colors should work for you.

Do any of you who use the Cap Spiders think crappie will hit them if you would tie them in "Crappie Colors?" Maybe use them in early Spring or when the water gets colder in the FAll or even ice fishing??

Len, I think they would work while the cappie are spawning. I seen two older guys use a fly rod and a floating fly once. They would throw the fly to the bank and work it to about 10' off the bank. They where killing em in 4' and less water. I was using minnows at the time and thought the fish were not biting! I learn something that day.

What Ronny said, I have had success with the little spider jigs during the spawn, cast to the bank and swim it back if in a boat, or cast out towards the middle and swim it back if bank/creek fishing..... also deadly with a slipfloat....
