Just to follow up .... Out last Thursday .. first day to try out the "Dragonfly" skirted spinner bait .. landed 5 keeper bass and 1 throw back (I released all) Caught most of them within sight of the landing at Black Creek .. went for a short ride up the creek and only managed to catch one of them ... most were on 1/4 oz ... out yesterday for 3 1/2 hours in the middle of the day and went to a couple of the lakes off of the river (river is still stained up from recent flood) and landed 10 from 1# to 2 3/4# Most were just over 1 1/2# they were "Bucks" ready for the "Beddin" ... had 2 other hits 1 shake off & the other got about 4 turns before it tore off ... and last a big shouldered "Slab" Crappie had to have a mouthfull of that thing.

That is a great report!!! My water is no where close to spinnerbait fishing and after the snow we had yesterday it looks as if it will be no where near any fishing for another week.

JSC,
Yes great report. Water is still frozen here. Temps in the 20's all day today. Pretty darn cold for mid March if you ask me. Oh well pretty soon it will be Spring.

Sorry about all that hard water ... course we have a few other things to stop us from going but that is not one of them (about 35 years ago we had a little hard water .. couple of days at the most ... Mullet jumped thru the ice and could not get back in the water .. You could see the little spots they had managed to break thru this was in the canal near the house.) High muddy water, storm tides & etc can keep us off the water at times. This is my time of the year for my Bass Fishin .... High water messed up my Crappie Spots. Hope to be back out in a few days .... Dang price of Gas for the outboard is killin me ..... I have had to change some of my way of fishin and cut down on the long runs ... Should have gotten a 2 cycle when I got this 4 cycle (40hp) it is a gas hog.
