The Angler Art videos are an excellent resource, i have them bookmarked as well.
Here is the easiest/quickest way i know of to do it. Similar to the way Shoemoo showed and explained.
Tie in you tail as you want...
Tie in your belly color of chenille and leave it hang out the back. I doubled up the chenille here since ultra size was all i could find...
Tie in the chenille that will be the main body...
Wrap the body chenille (black) up to the head, lock it with thread wraps and trim it off. Once the main body is done, take the other chenille and pull it tight up towards the head and lay it where you want it on the body...
Once the chenille is where you want it and pulled very tight, lock it down with thread wraps...
Trim off the excess and make your finish knot...
Bottom view...
Have to forgive the odd vise and colors i was using - did this at work, lunch break today on my homemade vise. Didn't have my normal tying stuff with me but was able to find a shot head and some material pieces in my scrap bucket where i tie in the back room. The yellow thread i started with was garbage and switched up to some bobbin thread that i 'borrowed' from the sewing machine in the other room. Hope this helps.
