Spring for me usually means super clear water in the lakes i fish before any algae starts to form and cloud things up. Black/silver is the winner hands down most days. Never sure if the extra little spice of bright color helps, but i always figure it might help to stand out in a crowd.

1/16 Walleye head
Black/silver chenille
Gray craftfur
Chart. midge flash

Those are fantastic Attica!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The chart. midge flash works great with the gray craft fur and the chenille plus the paint job on the head is killer with the small hints of red and chart. on the baitfish colors, subtle yet flash all at the same time, awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beginning to think its more than a "clear" color…
My pole hasn't seen much other than similar in coffee with cream water n can't complain.

Very great jigs. The eye work is something I can only attempt but never get. Hope the standbys make the sacs move

Thanks all. :) :jig:

Shoemoo - Not positive on the chenille, was a gift from a friend and thinking he got it 'second hand' as well with no manufacture info. Might be able to copy it by using two large size cactus chenille - one in black and one in silver -twisted together. I also trimmed the sides and bottom (belly) of the chenille off to get the shape i wanted.

Great looking jigs. I checked on the Darice craft fur and there are different types, ranging in price from 10.99 to 16.99.

Which Darice craft fur did you use? Pop
