I think its a work of art, very nice jig. I would prolly loose it first cast...

Loosing on first cast is why I always tie a dozen or so. I am in the process of making a storage board to keep my extras organized. figure if I have an almost empty section, I need to retie some of that concoction. Whole system will go to hades when my buddies come in to raid me but that is one of the joys of tying your own. I cannot wait until I get another boat. Told the wife it better be soon as my plans keep adding $$$$ and all the advances being brought out just show more goodies to add. I really want a 16' but more and more am looking to go to an 18' just to keep it safe and within weight limits.

When I first learned to tie FF's I used the set up on the Punisher Lure site. Always thought either feathers or craft fur and feathers.

X2 with Kdog alot going on with it but if the fish like it that's all that counts.

Yeah I tied up 12 of these and it sucks I have to wait till the day after Christmas and hope the water will be ice free to test these. Any one going FnF soon? I'd send a couple of these for some test results.
In regard to the tie it actually appears to have a lot going on, but there are only 4 different things in it midge, artic fox, duck, and deer body hair.
I'd be very interested in a metallic thread source that allow more torque.

Cool tye - thought it had a lot more steps.....

Tye it with a 3/0 (210 denier) thread, tye it off, and cover the tye off with your metallic thread.

Thanks Pop! Makes sense.
Ok lets see if I can help with the storage board.
Basicly it is a piece of maybe 1/4 inch foam board with slits in it to hold leaders or such. At least that is what I think he is talking about. I buy the sheets from hobby lobby and cut slits myself....much cheaper. The link below will show you a picture of what I am trying to describe.
