It snowed a little, but none stuck here. I have an annual fly fishing/camping trip that I leave for first thing in the morning...... not very happy! We normally POUND bluegills all weekend, but I doubt we do any good at all this year.

Doug a major cold front is in our area and might be headed for yours. According to the NWS this is a long cold front from Canada thru the south land. As I post at 10:04 P.M. CDT it is now 48 degrees F. The record low temp for the Marshall, Tx / Shreveport, La area for May 3 is 47. The predicted low temp in the morning is to be 42 F.

A/C ran a couple of times early this morning. I bet you a Prime Grizzly Rooster Neck that we will have to start the wood stove in the morning to warm the house. Yes I did haul a couple of arm loads of wood in for the weekend for it is to be cold here. CRAZY Spring. Still haven't got the tomatoes planted in the garden yet.

We got 10-12" of wet heavy slop (aka snow) yesterday morning. We being the folks who live in SE MN, a bit further west of where I live, 15" landed on the ground. Very ugly stuff - numerous cars in the ditch, tow trucks in the ditch trying to get cars out of the ditch. Worst part is that we had 70's this time last week.....

Fishing opener is next weekend - am wondering if there will be snow on the ground yet for it.....

Record Low for our part of Texas. Old record set in 1903 new record is 37 old record stood for 110 years. Bet that I will not be around to see the next one record fall for this date. Started up the wood stove at 4:30 in the morning as it was starting to get very cool in the house. After it warmed up the dogs wanted to eat and go out side. They sure didn't stay long. Both have had a long nap all afternoon. Now it might be my turn.
