Dangit boy! You shoulda been there on the 11th! But that first one is a trophy anywhere!
I didn't really want to mention but I screwed up with the monster at my stand last Fri. Yep the one rubbing trees the size of your thigh. Still sick about it!

Those are some nice ones! Seen a mulie near Corona last week that would have been pushing 30" spread. He was definitely a wall hanger for sure. Been years since I seen one like that........

Both are beasts - second one has some height to its rack but the first sure has a lot of meat in those shoulders.

Well thanks for making me relive it.... I saw him slipping through a thicket and could tell it was ole Sad Daddy. He was just about to step out broad side about 50 yards from me. HE woulda been a 10 pt but he had broken off both brows from tearing up all the trees. He stopped about 5 yards short of the opening and smelled me. Snorted and took off the way he came. I thought it was over. Then i caught a glimpse of him about to cross the road 125 yards away. He stopped and gave me a shot. I took it and he bucked. I sat in the stand 5 minutes when it started thundering. I hauled butt down there and followed blood for 10 yards when the bottom fell out. We searched the next morning for several hours. Never found him. Sucks cuz i know hes dead out there. We just didnt know which way he turned so it was like a needle in a haystack. He was well over 20" wide. By far my biggest deer.
