I tried a small duck jig using JungleJim1's tutorial. What do you think? Think it will catch some shallow crappie? It's a 1/48, #6 sickle.

Yeah, not getting any ice fishing done here! We just had the most ice I have seen in my 34 years of living, about 2 inches, that stayed on the ground for 3 days. Y'all northerners would laugh at us, that I took 2 days off of work because of road conditions. I live 70 miles from work, and we don't have the snow plows and snow tires like you do. I meant to post this in the jig recipe section, not fly, I guess it's a little of both.

Looks good to me, it will work for sure. Is that the new Do it mold head with the wire keeper? I got that mold and all the weights are way off on the heavy side. 1/48 weighs 1/32, 1/32 weighs 1/16, 1/16 weighs 1/12. 1/8 is only a little over but they sure need to work on their programs. On a couple sizes the eyes aren't cut right either. Instead of being round they are shaped like a willow blade. I'm tempted to call them about it and send it back.

No, when I bought the minnow head mold, I didn't know of the one with keepers. Mine is barbed mold filled in with silicone. I can check weights, but collar removed and scale just accurate to .01 oz.
