Curious if anyone here has a mold that pours the Worm Nose style of heads? Have seen some Hilts molds that are something similar as well. Would like to get a few of them to play with...... 1/16, 1/8, and 3/16 weight range. Do not mind if it would have the lead collar/barbs, but would not need the screwlock.... want to tie with them.

Not sure that i have ever seen anyone here post pics of using them.

Don't know why I don't have your Addy but send it I'll send Ya some 1/8 and 3/16 . If you are going to tie them . I used large chenille . Did a tapered wrap sorta minnow shape body . Not to bad a look . Stripers will tear those 1/4 OZ. up .

I am kind of surprised no one has the smaller mold. I have only made my own out of filing down regular ball heads (with lead barb) in the past and left the lead collar to tie on. The mushroom shaped head makes it easy to tie chenille right up to the head then bury the thread in the chenille fiber. Have some other ideas for them as well.

I will shoot you a PM if no one else chimes in with the smaller mold..... guessing i may not have much worthy of trading with you, but should be able to send you something. BTW - What style of hooks do you use that fit the mold?

I did get a PM response from a member with the smaller size mold. :) Thanks!!

Hawnjigs - that may work to make a flat surface to tie against, but would throw the whole seamless marriage of head and body off then. In my minds eye anyway. Read a few articles about having a nice even profile running 360 degrees around the head with no indentations from front to back and how it helps to control a slow, steady, donothing, presentation. In my head i picture almost a bullet shape head with a fanned out tail creating an even flow.

toadfrog - Still may hit you up for a few so i can cover all my options........... do you have the screwlock style or lead barb style?

TF - I will take some from you. PM you in a minute. The others that i have lined up are from the mold that uses the screwlock keeper, but poured without the screw. I'd like to see the difference in the heads, including the eye location, from mold to mold as well as tying on the lead collar vs. tying on the shank. As i said, like my options. :) I may pinch off the small piece of lead barb but would like to leave the lead collar on if possible.

Thanks for the replies everyone! -: Russ
