Winter Stinks !!!

16" of snow fell here sat & sun !!!!
It's a mess ! Worst thing it rained/drizzled for about 2-3 hours before it turned to snow and of course now there is a thick ice bed under the snow .

it was 80 degrees yesterday... I wish we could get even an inch of snow. 16" sounds really bad though.

We've got 8" already and the ride to work wasn't fun - they let us go early and it took about 2 hours to go 50 miles and it's supposed to get worse.

Our forecast was originally for 10" to 14" but the storm went a little north of us. We got about 6". Lake Erie shoreline got it worse then me..... my folks got about 10".

I was sitting out on the ice while the snow was falling. There was only 2" of snow on the ice when i got there and 4" when i left. It was a bear dragging the sled and still sore. Used my flip shanty opened halfway as a wind break and found out that my window leaks when the snow builds up on it. Not a big issue because it dripped way back behind me but going to have to see if i can fix that by covering the window on the outside instead of having it only velcro on the inside.

That groundhog saw his shadow so he says i am going to be sitting on the ice for a few more weeks......... OK by me.

My wife cleared the driveway before I got home and I just came in after 2 1/2 hrs. of blowing snow out again. bucktail they're watching that system and say we're supposed to get some of it too!! Can we have spring now! PLEASE!!!LOL

I'm like a little kid wishing for snow here. We usually get a little every winter but nothing yet this year. For some reason I like bad weather in winter just as long as the wind dont get up too bad.

You could try curing the Shack Nasties by designing a large mirror array to reflect enough sunlight to those areas that need melting. Get enough mirrors onto one spot, and that snow will melt.
