White Bass Jigs

Tied these expressly for the tenacious white bass in my area.

Each is tied on a 3/16-ounce ball head jig with a #1 red Aberdeen hook. Powder painted the heads and topcoated the eyes with polyurethane.

Hope to field test them at my local reservoir this weekend.

Very nice pup... where do you get your thread?... Someone said i could find polyester thread at walmart but all I could find was regular thread.

Most of my fly tying thread now comes from a small fly shop in the Northern Indianapolis area. I used UTC Ultra Thread (Flat-Waxed Nylon) 140 denier to tie these.

I do like to use 40-wt. trilobal polyester threads like Coats Machine Embroidery. Find them at fabric and craft stores like JoAnn or Hancock Fabrics.
