I hang out on another fishing board that has had nothing but controversy since the late 90's. Great people, great board, but people come & go for their own reasons. Mostly because somehow they got their panties in a bunch for some reason or another. Got to have a thick skin to hang on that board.
What I discovered is people who leave usually get over it, continue lurking, then eventually show back up under a different name.
Back in the early 90's, I was on a two-stroke motorcycle mechanics board and they bust each other hard. Learned to never let anything get under your skin that's said on the internet. Also learned that there's trolls on every board and ignore them. Good lessons.
I'm to old to put up with any drama from a fishing or fishing-related board or anyother board on the 'net. When I see drama in a thread, I'm like Frank Zappa's Valley Girl, I just roll my eyes & think whatever. Probably one reason I dont tweet, facebook, linkln, or participate in any other social media with the exception of a few fishing-related boards.
