Good choice.

DC's seeing the coldest weather in the past 20 years. I was in sunny CA then, so this is going to be a new experiance for me.

The severe cold has not hit us yet. Forecasters are saying tomorrow afternoon it'll hit us.

Since I have the commute from he!! into the city, I'm sure I'll be home.

Got all my jigs tied, rods built, so been thinking about how to pour lead in 20dF below. I have a construction blast heater, so may bring in a bottle of propane, and if the power still holds run the heater in the garage Tuesday and pour.

That's a lot of tying pb!!

80F* tomorrow - plenty of sunshine here.

Oh forgot - 15 to 25 MPH winds too. Probably end up tying & painting - maybe pour.

Good times! Did not hit -45.....we hit -40 at 7:30am this morning. My town going east and west is closed and plows are called off due to high winds!

Currently, the National Weather Service reports an air temperature of -13 degrees with a wind chill temp of -38 at the airport here in Indy. The city and surrounding communities have shut down business and local travel today.

Haven't felt temperatures this low in twenty years. Can't say I've missed them either.

-6 here now without the windchill. Winds are blowing at 20-30 mph. We got 12 inches of snow here. Just finished shoveling the front and back snow and cleaned of the car and truck. Took a few breaks while doing that. It sure gets your heart pumping. Coldest day here since 1989 and I remember working outside on the dock loading milk trucks on that day. It's warmer in Alaska then it is here.

We got +57° over here, feels like the warmest January since the 90ties. Excellent trout fishing, first time I can make use of the Jan.1rst season opening at the canal without snow and ice and lousy fishing.

Its about time though after 3 harsh winters in a row. Last year the lakes were frozen until may, it was unreal.

36 here right now but will drop to 9 tonight and a high wind blowing, going to be cold for sure! I think you have the right idea with a lot of tying. Been tying most of the day and plan to do more of the same tomorrow. Stay warm everyone and stay safe if out in this.

We only got bout 8 or nine inches of snow but these Bitter cold temps are ridiculous! Wife and I both decided to use a Sick day and we all stayed home. Its kinda been a family Play/Game Day. Got out once to help un bury my neighbors car and give him a jump. Then I left my truck running and I worked on shoveling off my driveway. Had to stop ever so often and hop in and warm up a bit. Cold Normally Doesnt Phase Me But Daaaaang! Now I'm back inside and Got me some Kickin Deer Chili a Simmerin on The Stove and I'm back in my Lucky Sweat Pants, Chilaxin in the Warmth. :D

We got lucky the snow was rain, and it stopped before it fell into the deep freezer. BUT, It is freakin cold here! 3 pm today it was sunny and -3 and a very windy day. Worked a little this morning, but now home sitting with the Grandkid's that are out of school today due to the cold. I'm a tying, and they be watching a movie.
Brrrr, that Feb. trip to FL is looking better and better!
