What I Tied today ..

So got some Black Schlappen feathers today thout I would try them out..
One is a Black Wooly Bugger and one is a an orange & Black Wooly Bugger that was tied by my 4yr old grandson and I .He was very Hands on with this one as you can tell

Last year I tied some BIG Wooly Buggers, all black, and used some Schlappen for the hackle. After you tie the fly, give the hackle a "hair cut", using some scissors to trim the hackle close. It takes some practice, but the end result is a good Hellgramite imitation.
