Ya'll have heard us talking about how dry it has been here in Texas. I thought I would share a little with you. Our tank has never been dry since it was built. Naturally it has silted in over the years, but I still don't think it would have gone dry if it hadn't been for the helicopter tankers pulling water out to fight the fires we had this year... They were the worst in my memory and any of the older men I have talked to. Tanks refill, but it takes awhile for the fish to come back.... And we lost some nice ones, because there was no where else to take them. Anyway.....

This one burned close to 70,000 acres.

If it hadn't been for these guys it would have been a bunch worse....

I know what you mean some of the farm ponds here were never reduced to mud holes except during the dust bowl days . But the were this year . I was so glad to see rain I sat in a lawn chair right out in it. That is until the lightning started .
