Made a trip to Stamford with Wtex and westtxfisherman Sat.

Started pretty slow, with only 1 fish in the box at 2:30.Made one last move and had probably the best 2 1/2 hour stretch of Crappie fishin Ive ever been a part of !!! :D

Finished our 3 person limit, and with some real kickers too...

Did learn something about Roberts new Deep hull Boat too..

If the fisherman in the back of the boat seems to be outfishing the others, that thing is so stable in the water, that ALL three people can actually stand on the same back corner and that boat barely even leans !!!

Enjoyed it guy's !!

Great job guys! Thats the way to hang with it. Most ppl would have packed up and left and missed out on getting the limit!

On a huge reservoir like Stamford, how did you locate the sweet spot?

Good question Hawn, and I like to say we're just that good :P.....but. We tried the usual winter patterns at that lake, the creek, the bridge,a few docks, some man made structure, but just wasnt working.

Its an old power plant lake, long ago shut down, but all the intake and discharge towers are still there. Its a good winter sport historically, but there were already a couple boats on it when we checked. Finally as one of them were leaving, with very little success,we eased on in.

Its about a 16 ' square concrete tower in around 24' of water. The other boat still there had caught just a few also, but what was funny is all the fish were holding on 1 corner of it and in just a very small radius.
