.... For a Men's Retreat this weekend. Had a big time and a great guest speaker from Shallow water,Tx was there. Part of the festivities was a skeet shoot and a fishing contest. Caught something with nearly every cast!!! Crappie in the six to eight inch range.


And a whole bunch of these...



Color of choice was white/green goblin/gray. 1/16oz. horsehead spinner!!!

Actually a guy there had bought some at a Church fundraiser, but left them on the counter at home... Said he wouldn't make that mistake again!! LOL Tried to give him some of mine, but I guess it was insult to injury... But of course I didn't rub it in or anything...

So, howd you place in the contest? You fished the jigs under a float?

I caught the most and largest fish... I fished the horse head jig under a float about 2 feet to keep it above the moss. The wind was blowing like crazy, so I was standing on the up wind side of the dam and casting parallel to the dam and retrieving along the edge of the moss line.

Poker Fri night,golf Sat Am,tank fishing Sat afternoon,plinking and warshers sat eve,,Yote hunting Sat(late) eve,poker Sat(later) night...............Church Sun Am then a drive home.....
