I was messing around with some different jigs today and this is the result, a 1/16oz jig done with a new color I made I like to call "crawrange" , it is a blend of candy orange, brown, clear, and just a bit of black. There is material you can't see in the pic but you do notice it in sunlight so the material list may seem strange. As I said, it is a 1/16oz jig with a size #1 hook, it has pheasant tail barbs along black pearl flash and Cajun craw silicone skirt material as the mustache. The claws are black barred orange and yellow rabbit strips, then I used UV2 Seal-X dubbing in dark hares ear for the body and then tied in some furnace hackle at the top for the hairy or buggy look to finish it off. The weed guard is what is called an FG-9, it is 3/4" long and 1/16" in diameter and so far they have had no impact on hooking fish, I use these on jigs that I'm going to drag on the bottom of the river, the weedguard really helps keep the jig from getting wedged in the cracks of rocks. It doesn't completely eliminate it but it really cuts down the number of lost jigs.

Very nice - the bulk of the silicone should keep the claws separated.... and add lots of movement also. Yellow has been doing well for me also, that should do the job!
