Please e-vote (read forwarded article below) for Pine Creek for Pa River of the Year and pass along this request to any other interested anglers. This could be a good thing to promote worthwhile/needed projects for Pine Creek. (one of my local streams) - JJ's Jigs

Jeepers, I thought for a second that the Pine Creek on this vote was the small stream that I fish for trout (stocked -and with a lure only, catch n release section) and smallmouth on, about a mile from here (just north of Pittsburgh) ! But then I checked it out, and have heard good things about this "other" more mainstream Pine Creek , so it got my vote!

Nah.. we are talkin' the "Big" Pine Creek where the Pee-Aye Grand Canyon is located (around Ansonia-Wellsboro area in Tioga County). Very famous trout water in PA. In fact, have you ever heard of George Washinton Sears? aka Nessmuk. He is most famous for this autobiography of this Adirondack sojourn in his canoe named the Sairy Gamp. The Sairy Gamp is now owned by the Smithsonian Museum.
