I'd concur with his assessments. My Regal requires no adjustment for hook size. This convenience is unequaled by any other maker imo.
Was nice to see the mention of Griffin's 3AR. I own a 3ARP (P = platform) and recommend it highly. It's, without a doubt, my favorite vise because it holds both hooks and materials well due to its jaw design.
Have a Dyna-King Barracuda that is so nice for holding very large hooks. Looking forward to using it when I begin tying flies smaller than #12s.
