Please feel free to post a picture of the view from YOUR front or back porch on this thread. Would sure love to see what other peoples view is from THEIR porch. I spend a ton of time here just sitting or cooking and think it might be neat to see what other people see from their porch.

Had some taters and chicken cooking on the grill today too.. The mutt was happy that i got out the camp chairs to relax after the busy day.

Nice views from your front yard. I don't spend much time in the front yard but the back yard does get used a lot. Will get some pics posted soon.

Whoa. Too much corn hole.
But I think can be easily sorted out.

AF, nice! I miss living out in the sticks. I'm in the middle of town now. Luckily it's not a big town.

Nice grill :) I have the same one, but with the side fire box. A few mods to the cooking chamber, and it's a decent smoker.

I live in surburbia on a cul de sac, so the front pix are boring.

But the porch has a grill & smoker; here's some salmon on the smoker

Some home made bacon fresh off the smoker

Here's Cricket

And some ATB's (stuffed jalepeno's), Italian Sausage, and turkey thighs

My backyard has a small pond, but no deck or patio. The grill is out front.... so i seem to sit there a lot more. :)

Hawnjigs - I put a small bed of charcoal down to start and then the wood chunks on top. Seems like it helps the wood chunks turn to hot coals quicker. We use hickory and mesquite chunks probably the most... i prefer the flavor from mesquite. But we also found a small IGA grocery store that gets in bags of chunks from a local orchard. They are all trimmed from apple and pear trees and they work great. Also nice to know that the source is something local.

LostPole - That is what i am talking about! You do have a pretty cool back yard to stare out into. It looks peaceful. Would be very cool with the water up and able to push that canoe right out the back!

AllenOK - I do love the grill.... this one has just about given up on me - one of the cast iron grates is broken, top rack is about to slouch to the bottom rack and the coal pan is gone in the bottom - but i went out 2 weeks ago and bought the exact same one again..... it is sitting in the shed waiting to be assembled. :) I did look at the smoker box add on, still thinking about it!

hookup - You are making me hungry. Those stuffed peppers sure look good. Makes me think i might have to make some next weekend.

For the stuffed peppers, I have one of these holders

And the corer works nice too. If you do more than a dozen, wear rubber gloves. I usually reserve some of the seeds for the stuffing mix to add some heat.

And I stuff them with a mixure of cream cheese & spices. Last year I had some extra crab meat & mixed it with cream cheese & old bay ... mmmmmmmmm
