See what you think... These are the real tube flies. :P ;)

Tube Jig Fly

River bass fishers should find them useful as well as fun to tie. They certainly are neat to look at imo.

Neat fly concept!! Still think that I will use the plastic tubes on occasions for the Crappie. In saying that I think I will order some silicone skirt material to play with. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Those are some crazy looking flies but doubt i would ever be able to throw them on my fly rod. Might have enough weight to throw using light line and long spinning rod though. ;) Are some beautiful flies.

Thanks for the link to that site - the pics and info on there are amazing! Bookmarked that for later reading. Wonder how much a EP Crustaceous Brush costs when you use a full sized one to make eack fly? Yikes!

Very nice fly! EP stuff is nice, but very pricey! I am thinking about making a dubbing brush twister and buying some congo hair....

Guys, I'm glad that you found the link to be interesting. :)

I agree that the cost of the EP brush is prohibitive. This seems like a potentially good application for stiff, short-fiber eyelash yarn. Well, this is why I like this site. Explore for info, discuss it a bit, and then it leads to ideas.

Mine may have a weed guard btw. ;)

AF,

He wraps those with lead wire behind the dumbbell, so it just might be weighty enough for light spinning.

If you have medium or small lead wire 7 wraps on a #10 hook is about 1/16th. But and I have to check this one I've heard there is a tungsten tying wire out that is smaller in size but heavier weight. Have to find the article again.
