Forgive me if this should be in a different area. Admin feel free to move if needed.
I'm just wondering if any of you that sell are experiencing shipping issue? USPS has lost 9 different items i have shipped in the last 3 weeks. From letters with stamps to packages with tracking. I'm beginning to think there's a tier at out regional PO in need of supplies.

Maybe you do have someone in your local post office that is eye balling you!!! I have access to USPS, FedEx and UPS through work and prefer the gooberment backed USPS operation over the others. They know me and know how i ship things. Over the years of this site i have only had 1 shipping issue (coming to me) and have sent a LOT of junk out over the years.

9!!! I would be talking to the supervisor's boss of bosses! That's BS! Unless who ever you are shipping to is getting items and claiming they aren't... I usually use flat rate - no problems yet

We are very lucky with our PO

Q - do you have them pick the stuff up at your house?? I'll take stuff to work with me and send out from the PO there every now and then, but I sure as heck would be complaining!!!!!!!!!!!!

Knock on wood I've never had a package get lost yet - but I've had a bunch that took forever to get to me from purchases that should have only taken a few days.

All were different pieces of mail dropped in a PO box at the main office on different days. I was sending a card of a 100 eyes in a 49 cent envelope but stopped that because they tried to tell me the machines can eat them. "BS was my reply to that" Now the ship is more than the product as I now ship them as a thick envelope. I even took a 6 x 10 envelope "thin" and had them tell me I paid over on it. What they don't seem to grasp is the cost of tracking verse buying postage thru pp where tracking is free.
As to asking for the bosses boss. Been there done that. I even ask for an application for the bosses , bosses job requesting they hire me for a week and let me show him how to understand what the meaning of the word leadership of a bosses, boss is all about.
Trouble is most of these PO jobs are appointed and those getting them
1. They could care less about anything other than a pay check.
2. I should be happy with a smile on my face every time I walk in the PO, just because they are there to loose my mail.
I'm chalking this rant up to a Third Class gubment trying to tell a Second Class service company how to deliver a First Class letter. Hmm, I'll remember that last line for today's meeting with the Louisville PO General.

For over a year now, I've been shipping jigs and flies via my local PO, usually first-class, with my latest one Flat-rate Priority. I haven't had any problems yet. With that many issues, I'd probably be looking at the next closest PO, probably in a different town, if it's close enough. I'm lucky enough to live near a big city, and actually work in that city. There's a PO about a mile from my night job. I've had to stop in there to mail stuff while going from my day job to my night job.

I have all my packages scanned when I drop them off. Had one in Jan. that didn't make it and it cost me time and money. They put in a package with a note, BS. Took them 3 weeks to send it back to me and it was going from SC to NY. I can't complain because 99% they are on time. I send all packages with tracking in a 4x6 bubble wrap mailer, don't care what I'm sending if it is one jig or 40.

Having dealt with lost and damaged packages thru the USPS. I can tell you once its lost, good luck! Recently I sent some jigs to someone with tracking... USPS cllaimed delivery, never received. I resent the jigs and 7 weeks later, get the original package returned to me as being unreadable address. Most of my garbage is cleaner than that padded envelope. It even had boot prints on it. Took it to PO and they said it was delivered 7 weeks ago. I said funny thing, it was returned to me yesterday, I only brought it in to show you how badly it was treated.

Claims process is a joke and good luck getting anything out of it. Anymore, I usually send it flate rate - priority, the couple extra bucks are worth the peace of mind.

They have been really bad this year for me losing four and some are showing up three to four weeks after going in the mail. I haven't lost that many in the previous ten years of selling on e bay. I'm hosting a jig swap now and one package had a foot print on it, fortunately the contents weren't harmed.
