I was gonna comment that a Boolie is quicker to make, but noticed that a spinner blade setup might shed weeds that would foul a propeller.

Did you water test them yet?

Yes tested 2 weekends ago the in-lines worked well. I'll probably make a weekend trout trip as soon as it is warm enough to camp to Cumberland. That will be the real test. The little river we go to in the winter close to home, only get stocked 400-500 trout at a time and tends to get fished pretty hard. They look really good in the water.

Those are one of the few blades that don't hardly stop spinning . You can also palmer your hackle above the treble . Those will serve you well . Bet you nail some fish .

These are cool. I use a similar lure in Ga every year for trout. Never thought about tying some. Nice job!

good looking spinners. I quit buying panther martins a long time ago when my uncle bought me tools to do then myself. I actually started making these before making jigs. x3 on the palmer hackle

Nice looking bunch of spinners! Used to fish inlines a lot years ago but have drifted away from them... more because i could make my own spinjigs and didn't have the tools to make my own inlines.

Did you paint the lead bodies yourself?

FWIW... fished with my son this weekend at a small lake the DNR stocks with rainbows once a year. We were fishing bright jigs tipped with maggots and caught 2 each. Watched a group of 3 get their limit (5/per) rather quickly. I noticed they were fishing cast/retrieve at a pretty quick pace. As they passed by on way back to their vehicle, I asked what the hot lure was....... inline spinner. He said gold was better.

Nice spinners, I'll have to try that. What weight are the painted worm bodies and what size are the Panther Martin blades?

Up till now I've used mostly homemade french style spinners but I have some Panther Martin blades around.

These are all 1/8 oz weight, I usually buy them at Walmart. I have purchased some as heavy as 5/8 oz and they make a cool northern bait. The blades are usually #2 for the 1/8 and #1 for the 1/16.
I powder coat the weights just like a jig only use a wire with a bent end to hold it in place. Then thread them with a wire and lay over the oven rack to cure.
Blades I usually get at jannsnetcraft.com

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I was using the larger worm weights for Muskie lures spray painted and epoxy coated. I'll need to check my blade stock.

A friend's son got a 40" pike a few weeks ago on a gold #1 Panther Martin trolled!
