Seem to be very popular with you all. Do they give a better hookup than a standard jig hook?

IMO. They are very sharp so hook ups may be improved but... they have a wider gap than a comparable hook so you may get the same result with a larger hook.

There have and continue to be Quality Issues, I am still using them but am looking closely at the EC version.

I find they penetrate very well. Good choice for light tackle. Love them for my seatrout fishing. Í´m avoiding them for my commercial jigs, though. Customers tend to straighten them out on northern pike etc.

Ditto JM. For crappie, doesn't matter much to me. Other species, it matters more.

I like them, they do hook up nicely and you don't need to really set a hook with one.

They do make a 2x and even a 3x for a stronger hook. They are hard to find, especially the 3x.

I still use them allot ... go through each hook and toss about 5% of them.
