With all the medical problems I've had this year finally thought I was gonna get to go fishing before the snow flies (it was down to 26 here last night).

Went for my checkup and now it's definately no fishing this year. Have to have surgery after some tests. Have the start of a hernia and a large mass either in the stomach or outside of it. Either way it's surgery and I'll be out of work at least 6 weeks.

No lifting, bending, twisting or stretching, cause they don't want anything tearing.

Could someone speed up the clock and get me past this year PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Fatman sorry that you are having so many heath problems. Will send healing thoughts and some prayers in your direction. Will have the wife do one of her healing rituals for you.

Yes each and every one of us is having a bad year in our own way. This happens when ever the sun is in transistion. We must keep our faith and better times will come.

Think well my Friend think Well.

Sorry about that ... the older U get seems like things like that come around more often.

One thing for sure Gettin Older Is Not For Sissies.

Do what the Doctors to tell you to do & get well .. the fish will still be there.

Dang Fatman , You and I seem to have some of the same problems . They say hard work won't kill you . But it will were you out physically . We should have taken it a little easier when we were young . Kick back and tie jigs until you get better . Then treat yourself with a little more kindness. That was hard for me to learn.

Man! Hate to hear you got more bad news. Toadfrog said it right, we worked hard not thinking about what our bodies were going through. Now we are paying for all the times that we worked when it would have been best to stay at home. Hope things goes smooth for you.

Thanks for letting me vent guys. Just discouraged, been a year and half since I went fishing and 2 years no hunting. Tried pouring some jigs but it was just to much twisting and had to pour the lead off and then cleaned it all up and put it away. But at least I tried.

I feel for you AND I'm very sorry. You're a better man than I.
I've seen my dads discouragement with similar situations and that's a hard thing for an outdoorsman to bear.
My deepest wishes for that the time bf you are able to enjoy the water n woods again flies by at unnoticeable pace.
